Combining the legendary utility of Chevrolet's "Ute" body style with the pinnacle of big-block performance, this example is powered by the coveted LS6 454 cubic-inch V8-rated at an incredible 450 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque when new. Refurbished in 2020, this El Camino is finished in its factory-correct Fathom Blue over a blue vinyl interior and presents as an outstanding example of one of Chevrolet's most legendary muscle-era vehicles.The exterior was professionally refinished in its original Fathom Blue during the restoration and showcases signature SS styling, including the cowl-style hood, quad headlights, chrome bumpers and trim, and SS badging. The vehicle is also a factory "Stripe Delete" - a rare find for enthusiasts. The truck rides on reproduction 14-inch Rally-style wheels wrapped in classic Firestone Wide Oval tires, completing its authentic period appearance. During current ownership, the windshield, rear glass, side windows, tailgate, bed filler panel, and right front inner fender were replaced, while a previous owner replaced the right rear quarter panel. A ceramic coating has also been applied to preserve the finish.
Inside, the cabin has been restored with new blue vinyl upholstery, including a freshly upholstered bench seat, new door panels, carpeting, headliner, dashboard, and replacement two-spoke steering wheel. Interior amenities include a chrome floor shifter, factory heater, and AM radio, delivering a classic muscle car driving experience.
Under the hood sits a rebuilt LS6 454ci V8 completed in 2020. The restoration included a new aluminum intake manifold, Holley carburetor, and exhaust manifolds. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a rebuilt Muncie M22 "Rock Crusher" 4-speed manual transmission, a 12-bolt rear axle equipped with a Positraction limited-slip differential, and 3.31:1 gears. Performance is complemented by factory front disc brakes, while the refurbishment also included rebuilt control arms, brake booster, new shocks, and replacement brake lines.
